Pei Nin Foundation ("we", "us", or "our") operates the PéiNín (陪您) mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of our users, particularly Chinese-speaking seniors in the United States.

• We do not collect Social Security numbers or government ID numbers

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide AI-powered voice companionship in Mandarin and Cantonese
• Send emergency SOS alerts to designated family members
• Share GPS location with designated family members when enabled
• Remember conversation history to provide personalized companionship
• Send daily reminders and wellness check-ins
• Improve the App and our services
• Comply with legal obligations

Voice Data and AI Conversations

Voice recordings are processed to enable natural language conversation with our AI companion. We use trusted third-party AI service providers to process voice and text data. These providers are required to handle your data securely and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

Conversation history is stored securely and is accessible only to the senior user and their designated family members. We do not use your conversations to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Location Data

GPS location data is only collected when location sharing is explicitly enabled by the user or their designated family member. Location data is shared only with designated family members and is never sold or shared with third parties. You may disable location sharing at any time in the App settings.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• With designated family members as authorized by the user
• With trusted service providers who help us operate the App (AI processing, cloud storage, SMS services)
• When required by law or to protect the safety of our users

The PéiNín App is designed for adults aged 60 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
